Christian business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, and marketplace leaders across Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads, Coastal Virginia, Richmond, and throughout Virginia are invited to join the Virginia Christian Chamber for our Business Breakthrough Series. This exclusive online Christian business workshop is designed to provide practical business education, resources, and expert guidance to help VCCC members build stronger and healthier businesses. Bookkeeping & Financial Clarity for Your Business

Join us for a one-hour bookkeeping and accounting session with Brian Lucas, Principal & Director of Operations at Good Books Company. Brian serves as the official bookkeeper for the Virginia Christian Chamber of Commerce (VCCC) and the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce (USCCC), giving him firsthand experience working with Christian businesses, faith-based organizations, entrepreneurs, and marketplace leaders. Whether you operate a business in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Richmond, or anywhere across Virginia, this session will help you better understand the financial side of running and growing your business. Your accounting system should give you clarity—not confusion.

Bring Your Bookkeeping Questions This is more than a presentation. You'll have the opportunity to spend an hour with Brian and ask your own bookkeeping, accounting, and business finance questions. Topics may include: Understanding your Profit & Loss statement Bookkeeping best practices for small businesses Creating accurate and consistent financial records Understanding your financial reports Preparing your business for growth Common bookkeeping mistakes Business expenses and financial organization Improving your accounting systems Financial reporting for small and growing businesses Questions specific to your own business Whether you're starting a business, growing an established company, leading a nonprofit, or simply want greater confidence in your numbers, this session will give you practical information you can use.

About Brian Lucas Brian Lucas is the Principal & Director of Operations at Good Books Company, the accounting firm he co-founded with his wife, Jessica. Good Books Company was created after Brian and Jessica identified a gap in the marketplace. Small and mid-sized businesses often had to choose between traditional bookkeepers who lacked broader corporate perspective and CPAs primarily focused on tax compliance. They developed a different approach: managerial, business-focused accounting that equips leaders with clear financial information so they can make confident, informed decisions. Brian's professional background includes more than a decade in mortgage lending, leadership experience managing Profit & Loss statements, compliance and fraud detection, and experience as a business broker evaluating companies for fair market value and organizational health. He holds a bachelor's degree with honors in Economics and Business from Rollins College.
